Mirror

So many ideas for stories and poems are running through my mind. I will find the time to put them onto paper soon. I was looking at some of my poems as I was marking them down as being posted on the blog. There was one that was not on here that I thought should be posted. I am now back into my walking habit. In the last three days i have walked a total of 16.5 miles! I am feeling more fit again and overall things are going as best as they can. Last week the doctor was very happy with my overall health, so I guess I should be as well.

In the next two weeks I will be asigned students from Iran and will start classes. The semester, as I have mentioned before, has been delayed due to further persecution of the Bahá'í's in Iran.

Mirror is about me, you and everyone else. I hope you enjoy it.

Mirror

Standing before myself I see
An image looking back at me
The closer I look into my eye
The more I lose myself and die
From this world

As i look I see
beyond this image
That reflects a part of me
The eyes of another looking
Back at me

The more we look the more we know
What it is another sees
i begin to see you in me
and indeed the reverse comes naturally
beyond each other our vision grows
The more of one another we know
The questions we ask are one and the same
Showing our commonality
A proof of a greater unity
We - are - one
